Boato Pack has been in existence since 1957 initially making low output vertical sachet machinery. In 1991 the present ownership took over and started a development programme towards a modular range of multi lane machinery. The focus was on a number of machine developments to enable the manufacturing proces to be closely controlled and to need a low level of operator interference. Of high importance thus was temperature control access the web; control of web tension; control of web centering; even pressure across the web for the horizontal rollers; even pressure between the vertical rollers and control of all function from PLC.

 

      
                         

By the year 2000 this evolution process was complete and the machinery is now based on three web widths

  • the Europa up to 150mm
  • the Optimist up to 250mm
  • the Tornado up to 450mm

Each base machine can be fitted with a range of filling options

  • volumetric cup (tangential flow)
  • basculant oscillating feeder
  • auger filler for fine powders
  • pump for liquid dispensing

Boato Pack have further developed their stickpack machinery and now offer intermittent motion machines for up to 4/6 lanes with the filling heads at fixed distances to allow the material to be slit to the exact stickpack diameter / flat stick width requirement.

The 6 lane offers widths from 17mm to 50mm, for web material up to 700mm wide and the 4 lane offers widths from 30mm to 100mm, for web material up to 900mm wide. Both are available up to 200mm length and for liquid or powder dosing. The lanes are alos individually controlled resulting in complete flexibility enabling different products to be run at the same time.

Boato Pack are the European distributor for Sanko in Japan, the original inventor of stickpack machines. Their machines, with patented PLC technology, range from single stick to 20 lanes for granules, powder and liquids.

Following on they also are the European distributor for Mitsuhashi sachet loading and dispensing machinery. This encompasses machinery for loading sachets in bandolier form into boxes or winding on to bobbins. Their dispensing machines can feed a sachet individually from bandolier form into a pillow pack; noodle block or pot.
