Feige GmbH was formed 30 years ago and is now owned by the major German group Haver & Boecker, they are based 40 minutes from Hamburg airport.
Their speciality is weigh filling equipment for containers from 1kg - 1000kg with a major part of the business being 200kg drums. Containers can be processed in line individually or on pallets with options to automatically cap/bung/lid containers as part of the process.
The huge range of machines includes simple "Slimline" machines through to completely automatic packing lines requiring virtually no human input. The line is completed by a range of conveyor systems, de-palletisers, palletisers, pail and lid de-nesters with robotic multi-function systems to create fully automated turnkey systems.
The equipment meets with the UK Weights & Measures legislation avoiding the need to check weigh filled containers.
There are more than 100 Feige machines operating in the UK to date.
For major uses of drums there are drum silos for the storage of significant numbers of containers with the ability to handle a mixture of drum types including plastic.
