Unifill's technology is a unique and patented system that allows the thermoforming, filling and sealing of single portion plastic containers (monodoses).

The system works starting from either one or two reels of plastic material, depending on the machine model and once the application and the shaped containers are formed, the system provides their automatic filling with virtually any type of liquid and semi-dense food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical or chemical product.

The system can produce both "peelable" portion packs (also known as OYSTER-PACKS) that are suitable for products that solidify after filling, such as cheese, chocolate or soap, and "squeezable" portion packs, ideal for products that remain liquid or semi-dense, such as yogurt, syrups or detergents.

Although today almost 75% of the machines produced by Unifill are for the food industry, non-food applications mainly represented by pharmaceuticals, chemicals and personal care still represent an extremely important segment.

The great diffusion of "nutraceuticals" and homeopathic drinkables (pharma), of automotive deodorizing products (chemicals) and of personal care novelties such as bar-soaps or promotionals/samplings (personal-care), are strongly contributing to a "new deal" of Unifill applications in these segments.

Established since 1979 Unifill now have some 300 lines installed in the 5 continents on something like 180 different applications. Unifill today is as it has been over the last three decades remaining the unchallenged World Leader in the supply of unit dose machines. Most of the biggest Multinational groups such as Unilever, Nestle, Kraft, Danone, Parmalat, Heinz, Colgate Palmolive, Reckitt Benckiser, Sara Lee, L'Oreal, Garnier, Castrol & Bayer are using this technology.
